Panama bound! (At Last!)

Here we are in Eugene Oregon, awaiting Nancy's final work day of next Thursday so we can be on our way toward Windfall and Panama.  Our "plan" is to fly to New Mexico and spend two weeks with son Eric, wife Rain, and our two granddaughters. Then it's on to Panama City Panama!

We have a busy schedule even before returning to Windfall, currently moored at Bocas del Toro on the Caribbean side of Panama. We have been invited to see the 2nd largest CARNAVAL in the world (Panama City) with freinds Ron and Heather and be boat guests (Swabbies) aboard "Sundancer" currently anchored in Panama Bay.

Then, we have planned a trip deep into Panama's Darien Jungle Wilderness to visit with our Wounaan village friends we spent time with last year. It's a warning to travelers, "If you get "lost" in the Darien nobody will come search for you!"... and they mean it!  There are no roads, but plenty of swamps, snakes, jaguars, mosquitoes,  with nearby Colombian guerrillas (not GOR-illas) and drug traffickers to keep you company.....Hey "Gringo" you lost???

We have a long list of items/gifts we're taking to the village including veggie seeds, many donations from friends and family, and items such as powdered milk, medicines, reader and sun glasses, etc. It will be wonderful to see our Wounaan freinds once again, and check on our concrete project from last year inside their church. I've bought some "magic" card tricks to play on the local children as they LOVED tricks I played on them last year! This time I'm ready for them!

With my recent Spanish classes I'll be able to put my new language skills to use...at least I hope my Spanish is now better! (I'll take more Spanish when I return).

Well not much more...just some pics of our wonderful time spent here in Oregon
